MyFitnessPal is a smartphone app and website that tracks diet and exercise. The app uses gamification elements to motivate users. To track nutrients, users can either scan the barcodes of various food items or manually find them in the app's large pre-existing database. Users can also link their MyFitnessPal account with other fitness apps like FitBit, Samsung Health, and more. In February 2015, Under Armour acquired MyFitnessPal. In October 2020, Under Armour announced that MyFitnessPal would be sold to the private equity firm Francisco Partners for $345 million and that it was shutting down Endomondo.
